Member of the governing boards of Northwest Evaluation Association, Acceleration Academies, LLC, TeacherMatch—predictive analytics research organization for teacher assessment, and DC‐based Knowledge Alliance. Dr. Wise also led the employment division of the Walt Disney World Co through extensive restructuring and expansion of its executive, managerial, salaried, and hourly employee function which created the largest single‐campus employer in the world (expanded to 52,000 employees).

Dr. James Hager—President with Atlantic Research Partners, began his teaching career in 1964 as a science teacher. He quickly progressed through the administrative chairs as principal, Director of Secondary Education, Deputy Superintendent, and twenty years as a Superintendent of Schools. Following his tenure as a school superintendent he spent seven years as a Professor-in-Residence at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in the College of Education’s Department of Educational Leadership. Jim Co-Directed the Center for Education Policy Studies and the Superintendents’ Institutes. He also coordinated the Executive Leadership Doctoral Program. His areas of expertise included policy, politics, and governance, organizational development, school improvement, the principalship, and the superintendency. For the past eight years he has held the position of Advisor, Chief Operating Officer, and President of the privately held company, National Training Network.

Former advisor to senior executives in Fortune 100 companies including Walt Disney organization, Costco, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Dr. Leroy D. Nunery II, Alumni Awardee

 Dr. Leroy D. Nunery II – Senior Strategy Advisor

Dr. Leroy David Nunery II is Senior Strategy Advisor for Atlantic Research Partners and Founder and Principal of PlūsUltré LLC a boutique advisory and consulting company started in 2007. He has served as the School District of Philadelphia as Special Advisor to the School Reform Commission, Acting Superintendent and CEO, and Deputy Superintendent and CEO.

Prior to forming PlūsUltré, from June 2005 – August 2007 he was President of School Management for Edison Schools, Inc. From March 1999 to June 2005, Dr. Nunery II was Vice President, Business Services for the University of Pennsylvania, responsible for oversight of the institution’s major auxiliary. His professional experience includes 16 years in various roles in corporate banking and capital markets, and 4 years with the National Basketball Association as Vice President, Human and Information Resources and Vice President, Business Development. His foundational business experience came from Leroy Nunery & Sons, Inc., an electrical contracting firm started in 1969.

Dr. Nunery is an Adjunct Instructor for the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania. He has served on many boards for non-profit organizations and is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors for Exalt Education, and a member of the Advisory Board for Howard University’s Executive MBA Program. He has also been a member of the Brand Enhancement Committee of Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, Inc., a member of the board of directors for Pitney Bowes, Inc., and was a Trustee of Lafayette College (1988-1998). He is a Lifetime Member of the National Black MBA Association, Inc., and served in several local and national capacities including Past National President (1983 – 1987).

Dr. Nunery is a graduate of Lafayette College (B.A., 1977), Washington University (M.B.A., 1979), and the University of Pennsylvania (Ed.D 2003).

Laura Huge – HR Consultant

Laura Huge – Laura Huge served for seven years as Assistant Superintendent, Human Resources for the Washoe County School District, responsible for comprehensive human resources services for this district of over 60,000 students and 7,000 employees. She also served as Manager of Recruitment and Assessment Operations for the City and County of San Francisco, Human Resources Director for the California Public Utilities Commission, Employment Manager for Washoe County and as Senior Personnel Analyst for the University of Nevada Reno. Laura has extensive experience in executive search, designing and implementing programs for talent acquisition, assessment and development, organizational and human resources auditing, strategic planning, facilitating change processes, and implementing methods of continuous improvement. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Managerial Sciences, focusing on Human Resources Management, and a Master’s Degree in Communication, with emphasis in Organizational Communication.


Krissi Osborn – Senior Associate

Krissi Osborn – Senior Associate with Atlantic Research Partners, acting as the operational lead for all searches. Formerly the Executive Director for a national search firm, she has led operations for over one-hundred superintendent and cabinet-level searches across the country, including Dallas, TX; Charlotte, NC; Ferguson-Florissant, MO, DeKalb County, GA; Omaha, NE; El Paso, TX; Baton Rouge, LA; Mountain View, CA; Fayette, KY; Richmond, VA; and many more.  She is responsible for managing and implementing all operational and logistical efforts to ensure a high quality and successful search, as well as ensuring candidates and clients alike have a top of the line experience throughout the entire process.  She is an active member in the Dallas community, volunteering as an ESL Tutor at her local community center.  She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and History from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
